Last night the Carys and Brother Frazier were transferred to the Dominican Republic by the US Coast Guard. Sister Cary has been hospitalized. They are running tests. We will know later today her condition. They will depart for the States as soon as they all can.

The overseer, Dr. Elysee Joseph, met them at the airport. They were traveling together when the earthquake hit. A 20-foot wall fell on their car. The overseer was killed. The others survived and walked with luggage to the compound. They slept in a truck. Some of the buildings at our compound have been destroyed.

Many churches have been destroyed, and many pastors and members have been killed. One pastor is buried under his church which collapsed. It will be several days before we can secure a full picture.

We had two mission teams in Haiti at the time of the earthquake. Six of the members of a team from Potter's House in Columbus,OH have secured flights on cargo planes and are on their way home. The others still wait. A team from Canada and Southern New England still wait for assistance. Three of their members have died. One member is very ill.

The overseer of Southern New England, Jonathan Ramsey, and a pastor from Boston are still in the country. We are working today to get them out of the country.

Please pray for the people of Haiti. Have your people on Sunday to pray urgently. The need is great so whatever your church can do financially will be deeply appreciated. Every church throughout the world should do something. We must join together and helping our brothers and sisters who are in desperate need. The project number is 765-0042.
